Two Perspectives in a One-point Perspective

With the rise of digital art, people have started to wonder if digital art can be considered “art”. Platforms such as Photoshop, which enable people to edit pictures, and photography are examples of digital art. However, some have considered digital art as the “easy way out” of traditional art.

As someone who has experienced both ways of art, that feeling or essence coming from my digital art pieces is no different from my artworks made traditionally. That is what I wanted to show through my artwork.

The combination of the traditional method of painting, and the ease of smooth blending and texture creating of digital art, I used both to create one simple scenery of a corridor. Two totally different mediums form one artwork, showing how the artwork would have the same essence despite differences in medium. Hence, my artwork is titled, “Two Perspectives in a One-point Perspective”.
