Raffles Square
This is a miniature version of one of several palm trees growing adjacent to the Raffles Square. Rafflesians often wait for morning assembly under these trees on the stone steps, overlooking these trees as an aesthetic. Therefore, I wanted to recreate this area, to appreciate their beauty, as a part of nature in the school and more importantly, the school’s identity. This arrangement of palm trees are always one of the first we look for in pictures of present RI. Apart from that, I imagine these trees to be representative of the Rafflesian spirit, each standing out and flourishing in its own area, constantly growing toward the sky, like us Rafflesians.
