At first glance, this artwork depicts a typical duck rice store. However, there is more than meets the eye. The acrylic sheet provides the viewer with a clear view of the darker side of commercial duck farming. From the ready-to-eat ducklings hanging from a meat rack to the unsuspecting mother duck entering the shop from her enclosure, where her likely death awaits; a heightened depiction of the violence and cruelty present in commercial farming.
